I've heard from more than one person - "WHY DON'T YOU EVER WRITE IN YOUR JOURNAL?" BECAUSE I HAVE OPINIONS THAT ARE NOT PC AND MOST PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT KIND OF HONESTY! Here are some of them, so maybe you'll understand:

I believe LiveJournals are EVIL. They are the spawn of BARBRA STREISAND, they are so evil. To me, a true journal is an archive of personal thoughts and memories, like a diary, usually used to put order to mental chaos by writing it down. Journals are a place for a person to flay their mind, dump out the contents, sort and reconfigure those contents to make sense. Journals are not meant for public consumption. LJ's are not true Journals unless you allow NO ONE to read them. These are not Journals - they're tiny fan clubs that focus on a single person. I don't need that. Becky has no fan club that she's aware of, nor does she need one to validate herself or the events in her life. I'm NOT saying that is the purpose of ALL LJ's. That is most certainly the purpose of SOME. I've seen some really cool ones, with people posting who know how to write. Some posts really make me think, and for that reason they are like a gift. I've seen cries for help more often that that. I've seen some fantastic comedy, and some fantastic tragedy.

Aside from that, have you ever READ a LJ? They're flame-bait! Every journal I've ever seen has at least ONE totally unnecessary, totally unintentional, totally silly and very personal flame war in it. LJ's break up friendships sometimes. Who needs that?

Most people don't know how to get their point across the way they mean to online. Everyone has a mental voice they apply to words as they read them, including email, that isn't usually an accurate representation of the emotion of the sender or the point of what they're writing, so they are misinterpreted because of their mentally-applied tone of voice, and reader and writer end up getting into fights or misunderstandings or unlubricated tight situations. The voice is different for each separate persons' message you read. If that didn't make sense, I envy you. Or you're lying. ;) I've been told my "internet voice" is holier-than-thou, know-it-all and smarmy. Not intended to be that way, I merely try to post the most REAL comments and responses I can and most people just can't take it. It does no one any good, least of all me. Since this is MY journal, I chose not to do that to myself.

Most people don't want the TRUTH, they want REASSURANCE. I cannot live on reassurance - why bother asking? Why not look at yourself in the mirror each morning and say "Self, you're the best person in the world. There's nothing wrong with you at all. You have nothing to improve, nothing to shoot for, you may as well die now because life is about perfecting the spirit and yours is already perfect." Life is too short as it is, without having to constantly explain myself or justify my opinions. My opinions change all the time because the information constantly changes. Most people can't take true honesty. They call it an attack unless it's ALWAYS positive. Most people don't think before they make their words permanent. If you want your ass kissed all the time, get a pair of electric lips and duct tape them to your undies. But do NOT ask me for my opinion because you will get it. I will make it as nice as possible, but I will NOT censor my comments if I cannot find a nice way to put it. If I have a positive thing to say, it's as honest as my not so positive things. I wish people were honest. But most are not because they're AFRAID to be. They're AFRAID someone will turn around and be honest right back at them. That's the saddest thing I ever came to realize about my fellow humans.

I am not saying people who use their LJ's regularly are a bunch of whiny, complaining, blind, manipulative, needy, wanty assclowns. SOME are, but not ALL, or even MOST. I've just seen too much evil go down in the LJ community to ever want to add to it.

Soooo, why does MIBecky even HAVE a LJ? So I can post the occasional bit of thingy in other LJ's without being anonymous. Anonymous posters who don't sign their posts, who don't own their words, are cowardly trolls. I refuse to be a cowardly troll.

There you have it. The end of what is most likely gonna be my ONLY post EVER. I do not have a hidden journal where I pour the details of my life out, heart and soul. If you want or need that, don't look here. Let's go get some coffee and chat, but not here. Here is impersonal. Here is misinterpreted. Here is EVIL.
